Carmen Vidal is a filmmaker from Spain whose work has been exhibited and recognized in numerous international film festivals, the MoMA of New York, and the TV channel ARTE. She received a Student Academy Award–Oscar®
for her short film 6 a.m.
Carmen is the recipient of five NY Emmy Awards for her work as TV producer for the magazine Nueva York
(CUNY TV). She is also co-producer of the video content of the transmedia documentary project Sonic Trace
(with support of ITVS, NEA, Cal Humanities, KCRW, AIR and CPB). Carmen currently lives in Brooklyn, New York, and Tránsitos
is her first feature film project.
