Francisco Sánchez Solís (Mexico)

Francisco Sánchez Solís is a Mexican producer and filmmaker. He studied Film Production and Art History at New York University (NYU) and later worked for independent film companies such as Oscilloscope Laboratories, Parts & Labor, and A24. In 2016, he returned to Mexico and co-founded Enfant & Poulet, a company dedicated to the financing, development and production of film projects. His short films as a producer have been selected for dozens of film festivals around the world. In 2019, Francisco produced the feature documentary Sanctuary, by director Andrea Córdoba, which received the awards for Best Documentary and Best Film at the Brooklyn Film Festival. His next projects as co-producer include Huesera, by director Michelle Garza Cervera (CQNL 2020), and Todos los incendios, by director Mauricio Calderón Rico (CQNL 2019). In 2020, Francisco was supported by the Mexican Film Institute (IMCINE), as part of the National Short Film Contest, to direct his project La cuerda.
