Jorge Vañó (Spain)

Jorge Vañó is a filmmaker and audiovisual programmer. He holds a B.A. in Audiovisual Communication from the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona and an M.F.A. in Film Directing and another one in Film Project Development from the Film and Audiovisual School of Catalonia (ESCAC) in Barcelona. He has worked as a director and editor for music videos and advertising projects. His short films Borrachos de Babilonia (2010), co-directed with Anna Diaz, and Hi8 (2012) were screened in different festivals. In the field of film programming and cultural management, he has worked on VOD platforms and in festivals such as the Seville European Film Festival or the Mostra Fire!!, Barcelona’s LGBT film festival, where he currently serves as film curator. In 2019 he began to write his first feature film, La mejor de tus muertes, which is in development and was selected for the Mallorca Talents Lab at the 2020 Atlántida Film Festival.
