Alexis Durán (Colombia)

Alexis Durán is a Colombian screenwriter and film director. He studied Fine Arts at the University of Los Andes in Bogotá and holds a B.A. in Film Direction from the University of Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne, where he also received an M.F.A in Film Direction. Alexis also holds an M.F.A. in Screenwriting and an M.F.A. in Arts Management from the University of Montreal. In 2002, he founded the production company Imaginaria Films and, since then, he has directed television commercials in Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, the United States and South Africa for multiple multinational brands. In 2017 he directed the short film A la deriva, which was selected for the Havana, Amiens and Chicago Latino film festivals, among others, and in 2019 he directed the documentary feature film No trague N’tero, currently in distribution process.
