Steven Morales Pineda (Colombia)

Steven Morales Pineda is a Colombian filmmaker who holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing with a focus on screenwriting. In 2015 he founded the ESUNA Casa Audiovisual company in Bogotá, where he writes and directs fiction short films, web series and corporate videos. Under this brand he created the docu-reality series Loro viejo, winner in 2017 of the MIPFormats International Pitch competition in Cannes and currently in pre-production. Steven is also a producer and screenwriter at Paralelo Producciones, for which company he wrote and co-produced Malpura, the second feature film by Colombian director Gabriel González Rodríguez. He is currently developing his debut feature film, Retiro, which won the 14th International Producers’ Meeting at the 2019 Cartagena Film Festival, was awarded a development grant by the French CNC film fund and was selected for the 2019 Torino Film Lab-Script Development.
